JNV exam method


The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) is a pen-and-paper-based test that is conducted by the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) for admission to class 6 in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) across India. The exam pattern for JNVST is as follows:


1. Medium of Exam: The exam is conducted in 20 languages, including Hindi and English. The candidates have to choose their medium of instruction at the time of filling the application form.


2. Types of Questions: The exam consists of three sections: Mental Ability, Arithmetic, and Language.


3. Mental Ability: This section contains questions related to reasoning and logical thinking. The questions are designed to test the mental ability and problem-solving skills of the candidates.


4. Arithmetic: This section contains questions related to mathematics. The questions are designed to test the numerical ability and problem-solving skills of the candidates.


5. Language: This section contains questions related to language comprehension. The candidates have to answer questions related to reading comprehension and grammar.


6. Total Marks and Duration: The JNVST exam is a 2-hour long exam and carries a total of 100 marks.
